The farming operation strategy at Terra Romance Farm centers on whole-farm sustainability, including soil and water conservation, pollinator habitat conservation, and natural pest management strategies. We use no chemical fertilizers or pesticides in our farming practices.
Meet the Farmer: Katherine Kapo, Ph.D. (Owner)
Katherine is a 9th generation West Virginian who has always had a love for the outdoors and the West Virginia hills. Following a career as a senior environmental research scientist, she founded Terra Romance Farm on a 45-acre property in Romance, WV with the goal of creating an environmentally-conscious, diversified market farm with an Appalachian soul. She takes pride in providing high-quality farm products and showcasing the beauty of this region of “Almost Heaven” West Virginia.
